A.M. I had pain in my left hamstring again and my leg muscles felt sore so I decided to bin the run I'd planned for today. Instead we drove out and went hill walking for 3 hrs. Beautiful day, warm and sunny as summer has a last fling at the moment. It is frustrating at the moment but for some reason I feel I am not recovering, hard not to run today but I know it is the right decision. The hill walking compensates as I feel I cannot just do nothing, with autumn race season round the corner this is not the best of times for my body to start playing up. Ordered a book "Vegetarian Sports Nutrition", I think my diet is pretty good but I want to check if there is any holes that need plugging. |
