Personal:

I'm a Brit living in a small town in the south west of Germany, on the edge of a nature park, the Schwäbisch-Fränkischer Wald. The landscape is very hilly with vineyards & orchards on the lower slopes merging into forest above. 42 years young, married since 1997 to my lovely wife.

A.M. Easy paced recovery run. Felt a bit sluggish today, I really miss some decent longer runs. Total 10k in 49:00, av pace 4:54/k, 7:53/mi.

Well, that's it for a while, we're off to the airport this afternoon to fly to Turkey. The marathon is this Sun morning 8am, then we have a holiday for a week to enjoy before we fly back the following Sun. I will catch up then, and yes I have remembered to pack my race kit in my flight bag.

Good luck on the race Ian! I too am excited to see how things go for you. Your training has been great so I'm fully expecting the sub-3 to be a piece of cake for you with sub-2:55 highly likely.
