A.M. Still raining this morning, nevermind, out and up the first hill. Legs felt tired and I was a minute over my normal time at the top. Kept it slow and easy, then 10k into the run I starting to feel comfortable and the pace naturally picked up. What started as drudge ended up enjoyable and I finished wet, muddy but happy. Total 25,5k in 2:04:12, av pace 4:52/k, 7:50/mi.

Hey I suppose "wet, muddy but happy" isn't such a bad way to be. Looks like you're getting the same weather we've been having out here in Utah in what is supposed to be a desert. Looking like another near 100-mile week for you this week. Good job!

15 in the rain and mud??? I wish I was as strong as that. I woke up to very heavy rain just before 6am and was weak enough to go back to sleep. Now I'll be looking for a break in the weather to get out and run.

Well done Ian! Going out in the rain and doing 16 miles is very inspiring. I'm not good at all running in the rain alone, especially when it's dark and cold (read, London winter). You are running some serious mileage here, I'm sure it will pay off in a few months.

I felt bad about missing my 2nd run the day before so I tagged the mileage on to this mornings run. I quite like running in rain occasionally, just not day after day.
