I'm a Brit living in a small town in the south west of Germany, on the edge of a nature park, the Schwäbisch-Fränkischer Wald. The landscape is very hilly with vineyards & orchards on the lower slopes merging into forest above. 42 years young, married since 1997 to my lovely wife.
A.M. Warmer at last and with it drizzle and mist but it was still nice not to start off shivering. Hill run with a steep and long initial ascent that gets the old heart pounding. Total 13,3k in 1:08:11, av pace 5:08/k, 8:15/mi.
Thanks Dale but try sending a little further to Turkey instead. We read with disbelief the other day that Antalya has seen its first snow for 15 years.
I'm sure it'll be gone in a week and you'll have fine conditions for your sub-3. The way you've been running lately, it should be a great race for you.
Just in case though, I think I've managed to send the sun and dry conditions onwards....looks like rain may come sometime today. Yippee!!!
Hey Dale could you send some of that sunny, dry weather out Utah way as well? We're supposed to be a desert and have a lot of that kind of weather but not this year. Seems like most every Utah runner on the blog has had a least one spill on the ice this winter. Not to mention the frozen noses and cheeks.
I'm thinking it should be in your neck of the woods in the next day or so, since Utah is a lot closer than Germany or Turkey, so don't let it slip by you!
